Hi! I’m Chris Campbell, and I am so excited to share my journey with you!
I’m a proud Bramptonian through and through. I’ve called this beautiful, vibrant city my home for nearly 30 years, and it’s where I’ve raised my five wonderful children. There is something truly special about our community—the energy, the diversity, and the way we look out for one another.

So, why am I running for City Council? After retiring from my union leadership roles, I realized my passion for service hadn’t retired one bit! Brampton has given me and my family so much, and I want to ensure it remains a place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. I’ve spent my life advocating for fair wages, mental health support, and inclusive training programs. Now, I want to bring that same “boots on the ground” dedication to City Hall.
My career has been an incredible 35-year adventure with the Carpenters’ Union. I started out as a first-year apprentice with a hammer in my hand and a lot of big dreams. Over the decades, I worked my way up to becoming a Red Seal journeyperson, an instructor, and eventually, the first Black President of Carpenters’ Union Local 27. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for the Carpenters’ Regional Council and as a board member for the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU). My work has always been about building -not just skyscrapers and bridges, but pathways for the next generation

I believe in a Brampton that works for everyone—where our infrastructure is strong, our youth are supported, and our neighborhoods are safe and thriving. I’m not just running for a seat; I’m running to be a voice for the neighbors, families, and workers I’ve lived alongside for three decades.
Build it Right. Build it Honest!
